We are SO grateful for a our parent volunteers! (and grandparent volunteers!) They are a help in the classroom and the students love having them there. The process for getting cleared to be in the classroom isn't hard, but it has changed a bit. Please review the steps here, and if you have any questions contact the HR department. They will be glad to help you!

Many of our permanent employees, who now enjoy full benefits, started as substitutes. It's not just teachers who need someone to fill in for them when they are out for a day. Our crosswalk folks, supervision assistants, and other positions need to be covered too. Our HR team would love to hear from you, if you think you could fill one or more of these roles!

School Lunch Week!
Feeding hundreds of children every day is a huge challenge. We are so proud of the district's nutrition department. Planning and serving meals that navigate all the legislative, logistical and budgetary constraints faced by a school district is something few people truly understand. Our team finds an excellent balance with meals that nourish students . . . and that they're happy to eat! Thank you all who work so very hard to feed the students! You are appreciated!

We’re excited to share how RBUESD is strengthening reading and writing across our schools! Our Literacy Public Update highlights the classroom instruction, small-group support, tutoring, staff training, and family and community partnerships helping our students grow as readers.

These efforts support Tehama County’s Strive for 85 initiative, which aims for 85% of third-grade students to read fluently at grade level within three years. We invite you to explore the attached update to learn about our progress, the supports available, and ways families can participate. Thank you for partnering with us to help every student become a confident reader!

RBUESD is proud to support opportunities to put books in kids' hands and help our youngest learners become confident, excited readers. Through 'Raising a Reader', we're bringing families, schools, and our commuity together to build a love of reading from an early age.
