Ohio County Public Library in Rising Sun, Indiana OCPL serves the residents of Ohio County through life-long learning, information and literacy access.

We provide library services that include materials for circulation within the Library building, services for materials outside of the Library and life-long learning opportunities. We can es**rt your access to innumerable sources of information either within our collection or through inter-library loan, or via internet resources.

🎨 Adult Art Class: Kinusaiga Fabric Art! 🧵

Join us at the library on September 9 at 11:00 AM for a fun adult art class!

Kinusaiga is a beautiful Japanese art form that creates pictures using pieces of fabric. Instead of sewing, the fabric is tucked into grooves in a pattern to create a colorful, textured design. It’s sometimes called “Japanese fabric mosaic art.”

Shewwww. We have been busy this summer getting new items for our collection. Come check them out!

The children’s books were mostly funded through Connie Smith “Books of Love” fund at the Ohio County Community Foundation. Anyone can donate to it at anytime. The principal is never touch. These books were purchased from the interest. We are very proud of our new Easy Biography collection. Come check them out.

We are proud to announce we received another grant from the Indiana Art Council to provide FREE art classes for our community. The first class will be Felt Sunflowers on August 29 at 10am. You must be signed up to attend. You must inform us if you cannot make it because we typically have a waiting.
