This week, we celebrated the promotion of one of our officers to the rank of Sergeant, Officer G. Marks #18072. Sergeant Marks will take his leadership skills to the Indio area office.

His leadership, professionalism, and integrity have set a high standard. We are proud to see him carry that same commitment into his new assignment.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, The California Highway Patrol was proud to attend the Senior Expo hosted by the Dales Senior Center located at White Park. We had a great time sharing our Age Well Drive Smart program with the community.

We spoke with those that attended about staying safe, confident, and independent on the road. Officers handed out resources and discussed practical "keys to driving safer and driving longer."

Keeping California's older drivers safe and secure remains a priority. Thank you to everyone who stopped by -- it was great connecting with you

August 12, 2026- Today marks the anniversary of the death of fallen Riverside California Highway Patrol Officer Andre Moye Jr., ID 21641.

Officer Moye was killed in the line of duty while conducting an enforcement stop in Riverside County near I-215.

🚨 MAJOR AUTO THEFT BUST | $1.8 MILLION RECOVERED 🚨

A months long investigation by the Riverside Auto Theft Interdiction Detail (RAID) led to the discovery of an active chop shop in Norco, the recovery of approximately 50 stolen vehicles and vehicle components valued at more than $1.8 million, and the arrest of two suspects.

This successful operation highlights the continued commitment of the California Highway Patrol and our law enforcement partners to dismantling organized vehicle theft rings and protecting our communities.

Proud to support Special Olympics!

On Saturday, July 25, California Highway Patrol officers from Riverside and Inland Division along with our 840 Explorers Riverside Explorer Post - 840 had the honor of attending the 2026 Special Olympics Inland Empire bowling event. We had the opportunity of handing out medals and celebrating the incredible athletes who competed with so much heart and determination.

Moments like these remind us why community matters. Being part of this event was truly special — the smiles, the sportsmanship, and the pure joy in the room made it a day we’ll never forget.
