We may not be used to extreme temperatures (especially extreme heat) in Maine, but that's why awareness is so important. Keep an eye on your kids, the elderly, your pets, and anyone with breathing issues or sensitivity to heat. If you need somewhere to cool down, call your town office or 211 to find a cooling center near you.
