Our office is closed today as we encourage everyone in our community to get out and make their voice heard. No matter where you stand, participating in the voting process is one of the most important ways we shape the future of our communities.

Join Capon Springs and Farms on Monday, May 25th from 11:30 AM–5:00 PM for a special Open House Community Fundraiser supporting the Capon Springs Volunteer Fire & Rescue Squad as they work toward purchasing a new ambulance.

Enjoy a day in the mountains with delicious donation-based lunch options including chicken BBQ, hot dogs, and sides, plus tournaments, a history tour, access to the grounds and swimming pool, and special offerings from the Hygeia Bath House and Spa.

All proceeds from lunch and tournament activities will go directly toward supporting this important local cause.

Whether you’re coming to enjoy the food, explore the property, take part in the activities, or simply support our local first responders, this is a wonderful way to spend the day with purpose.

In case you missed it!

JT and Cathy had the opportunity to meet WVU President Michael Benson during a pop-up event at Hampshire Social Event Venue , hosted by Teresa Calvert .

It was wonderful to welcome him to Hampshire County as he continues his trek to visit all 55 counties across West Virginia and connect with communities throughout the state.

Thank you to Hampshire Social Event Venue for hosting such a great opportunity for local conversation, connection, and Mountaineer spirit.

This month’s Featured Business is Jen Audrey Photography 📸

Jennifer Kidwell has always seen photography as a way to celebrate the beauty, emotion, and fleeting moments all around her — the kind of moments that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Raised in a family of creatives, Jennifer discovered an even deeper love for writing and photography during her time working in journalism. Since then, her life and work have continued to grow in meaningful and exciting ways.

Jennifer has called Hampshire County home since marrying her husband, Brian, 30 years ago. Over time, she gravitated toward nature-inspired photography and became increasingly aware of how many cherished family memories can end up tucked away or lost in the digital world.

That realization inspired her to create beautiful portraits that preserve love and connection in a tangible way through custom wall art. She guides families through the entire process, making it enjoyable, refreshing, and meaningful from start to finish.

Jennifer believes that art on display does more than decorate a home. It helps children feel seen and valued, reminds weary parents why they work so hard, and creates a sense of belonging for the whole family.

Through her work, Jennifer helps families celebrate their story — artfully preserved.
