The following message is provided by Talbot County Emergency Services. Our department will continue to monitor all weather-related data to keep the citizens of the Town of St. Michaels informed. Be safe.

Good morning, Talbot County. Since the start of the storm, emergency personnel have responded to only a few weather-related incidents—and we’d like to keep it that way.

The message today is the same as yesterday: avoid travel if possible. Snow and freezing rain have created icy and hazardous road conditions. If you must travel, please keep your safety ❄️ and the safety of first responders ❄️ in mind:

- Clear all snow and ice from your vehicle, including headlights and windows. If you can’t see, you can’t drive.
- Let someone know where you’re going and allow extra time to get there.
- Give snowplows plenty of space. Don’t crowd them while they’re working.
- Use extra caution on bridges, overpasses, and less-traveled roads, which freeze first.

For the latest road conditions, visit roads.maryland.gov, and stay weather-aware. For tips and resources for Talbot County, visit: https://www.talbotcountymd.gov/winterweather
