6th graders had an amazing hand-on science field trip to Antelope Island with Ms Bonner this week. They learned and made connections about the important ecosystems of the GSL, all while collecting and studying brine shrimp and skipping rocks on the beach in the sunshine. They had the island to themselves and the weather was perfect! These kinds of educational field trips are funded by our PTO and the donations that we raise during FUN RUN go directly to learning experiences like this for our students.

Mark your calendars! 🚩 it's a short week this week, and we're going to kick off the weekend early with our first PTO dine-out of the year! Bring your friends and neighbors and stop by Handels on Thursday night to grab a sweet treat (I highly recommend the Graham Central Station 🍨). It's a chance to connect with each other and help raise money for Indian Hills. Don't forget to show the flyer and mention Indian Hills when you order!

We are only 2 weeks away from one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. Fun facts that you might not know... 🚩 Did you know that our hands-on science program is funded entirely by our PTO? Did you know that our BTS Art room is also supplemented with teachers paid for by our PTO, allowing students to have art curriculum every single week. Did you know that in addition to the art and science programs, the PTO funds our grade level music programs, community and family events and much needed extra funds for our teachers that can be used for field trips, supplies and fun classroom activities. What HOUSE will choose you? As we strive to build and strengthen what it means to be a part of our school community... we have a new house system at Indian Hills. Today was the day that we have all been waiting for... sorting day! Our annual Fun Run is right around the corner! This is one of our biggest PTO fundraisers of the year and raises money for things like hands-on science, weekly art teachers, music and so much more.
