Leadership SAISD is a low-cost professional development program that brings leaders across San Antonio to learn about and invest in our public schools. This program has helped me and so many others learn important history, critical context and understanding of the current landscape, and what is needed if we want to strengthen our public schools.

I cannot recommend this program enough and am always happy to chat to folks interested in participating! To ensure it remains low-cost, please join me in donating whatever you can.

Slow and steady finishes the race! I'm so proud to have run the Scallywompus Event Battle of Salado Creek 5-mile race in the 90-degree Texas heat. 😰

Now I'm training for the Battle of Hillotes 10-K (6.2 mile) race in October! I'm praying we'll have some actual Fall weather here soon. 🙏🏽🍂

Growing up, our church was not a space designed for children. I'm so grateful that my boys not only love going to church and participating in the youth religious education programming, but my oldest will get mad if we're running late or have to leave early. 😅 Spending Sunday with our friends and community at First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Antonio is a beloved family ritual.🕯

Our oldest is on his way to becoming a musician! 🎶 He started music lessons with Mini Maestro, and he loves it! It's been so cool watching him get excited learning about music theory and exploring all kinds of intstruments.

At home, he's been more curious about Sam Mitchell's instruments (he plays bass for Siren). I hope this is the beginning of a lifelong passion for Liam, and that it brings him the same joy and meaning that it brings his dad!
