We are thrilled to be showing San Antonio artist Blanquita Sullivan's exhibit "Night Breezes" at the Molly Schaefer Gallery in the King William Association headquarters starting next week. Her whimsical, richly colored artwork combines storytelling into a kind of portraiture where fashion, objects, and environment become part of the subject's identity.

Her works will be available for view starting late next week, and we hope that you are able to join us for a "Meet the Artist" reception on September 17 at 6:00 PM.

The King William Association is excited to announce the next gallery showing at the Molly Schaefer Gallery here at 122 Madison Street. The exhibition, Night Breezes, by San Antonio artist Blanquita Sullivan will run from September 8 - October 29, and there will be a "Meet the Artist" reception on Thursday, September 17 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Blanquita is an interdisciplinary artist and business leader from San Antonio, Texas. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Studio Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, and studied painting at The Art Students League and the New York Studio School.

The resonating heartbeat (and downbeat) of the King William Fair is brought to us by the many musicians who grace our stages on fair day. From Rock to Blues, to Classical, Jazz, and more they entertain us and give us a glance of some of the fabulous music being composed and performed throughout South Central Texas.

Have a favorite local artist? Something from San Antonio that you think the world needs to see or hear? Tag them in this post and encourage them to apply to be a performer in next April's King William Fair! We love hearing new sounds and seeing what kinds of creative performances we may be able to bring to the stage that day.
