Seat Belts Save Lives!
Thankfully, the driver involved in this crash was properly utilizing a seatbelt which reduced serious injuries and likely contributed to saving their life.
Too many lives are impacted each year because vehicle occupants are not properly restrained.
The motoring public is reminded to:
Use seatbelts properly during every trip:
Shoulder belt should be worn across the chest area
Lap belt should be worn low and across the hip/pelvic area
Do not place the seatbelt behind your back or underneath your arm
Children must be properly restrained in a child safety seat or booster seat as appropriate.
