The SDCPOA social media platforms have transformed over the last two years, garnering thousands of views from our members, other agencies, and community leaders.

From highlighting the accomplishments of our members to keeping everyone informed and connected, our social media platforms have become an important part of how SDCPOA communicates and engages with our community.

Meet the Board Member behind the posts.

Senior Probation Officer (SrPO) Medina is an 18-year veteran of the Probation Department. During his career, he has served in Institutions, AB 109 Supervision, Adult Investigations, Pretrial Services, and is currently assigned to the Community Transition Center (CTC). He was elected to the SDCPOA Board of Directors in 2024.

“It’s a lot of work, but I enjoy it, and I like helping our members stay connected,” SrPO Medina said. SrPO Medina is proud to have helped build a platform where its members have a sense of community. “One thing I really wanted to focus on was recognizing our members for their accomplishments,” SrPO Medina said. “I also wanted to recognize members who felt unseen or unrecognized for the work they do every day.”

During his term on the Board, SrPO Medina has assisted members during IA investigations, traveled to Sacramento with SDCPOA President Fox and Vice President Limon to advocate on legislative issues, attended a PORAC leadership seminar, and attended numerous departmental events recognizing the accomplishments of SDCPOA members.
