Willow Glen Cares WGMS WGHS Willow Glen Cares supports under-resourced students at Willow Glen Middle and High School.

It may surprise some to know that about 30% of students at Willow Glen Middle and High School are underprivileged. They are struggling financially for many different reasons, and some are homeless. These young people face numerous barriers to graduating from high school and raising themselves out of their difficult situations. Since Willow Glen Cares began, 90% of students served by WG Cares have improved their attendance, GPA, or both. By discreetly helping students meet their basic needs, and providing resources, encouragement, and enrichment, we help students improve their grades, attendance, test scores, and self-esteem. This reduces truancy and at-risk behaviors, and opens up many doors of opportunity.

Bring a donation of deodorant, toothpaste or new socks for Willow Glen Cares, stay for a drink and visit with your neighbors. A sincere THANK YOU to the Stone Church of Willow Glen for hosting a school supply donation drive. We picked up a trunk-load full of much needed school supplies. Thanks to their generosity our Supply Room was stocked with paper, binders, 📒notebooks, ✏ pencils, 🖊pens and more! Students visited the Supply Room this past week and were excited to pick up the items they need to start the school year ready to learn!

We couldn’t do the work we do without the support and partnership of our local community. ❤

School starts in less than a week and we’ve been busy so we can support students in need at WGMS and WGHS. Our Supply Room is stocked and ready to open the week of August 10. Supplying students in financial need with basic necessities, such as deodorant, shampoo, and soap, enables them to focus on their school work and attend school with dignity. That means attendance, grades, and graduation rates improve.

Every dollar stays right here in Willow Glen and goes to the students at Willow Glen Middle School and Willow Glen High School who need it most. And every gift is fully tax deductible.
Your donation has a lasting impact in the lives of these students. Most of all, it helps Ram students in need start the year ready to learn.
