The Planning Division is seeking applicants for Planner IV positions in the Planning, Building and Code Enforcement Department.

Salary: $144,777.36 – $176,314.32 annually

These full-time leadership positions supervise and mentor planning staff while leading complex planning initiatives. Current openings include leading the Housing Element & Housing Policy Team or managing the Permit Center Team, helping advance housing, land use policy, and development services that support San José's growth

Learn about a proposed residential development project.

The project proposes the construction of a seven-story, 173-unit multifamily residential building on an approximately 1.34-acre site at 0 South Second in Downtown. The project will provide 137 units for low-income households, 34 units for very-low-income households, and two market-rate manager units. The project includes an application under the State Density Bonus Law.
