Special thanks to all of the Jamaican Community, Georgia Consular Corps. Georgia Leaders, & Friends of Jamaica who celebrated with us today, Sunday, August 23 @ the St. James United Methodist Church in Atlanta. All the speaker, entertainers, restaurants, meals, decorations etc were fantastic. Congratulations to the family of Jamaican Pioneer in Georgia 2026 Mr. Cornelius Wright.
Also EBF-Microsoft Corporation STEAM Program Students. Kudos to all of you!

Jamaican Pioneer in Atlanta 2026

Cornelius B. Wright, known to friends and colleagues as "CB" moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1985, following a period in Toronto, Canada. His leadership and athleticism were evident early on during his studies at Church Teachers' College in Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica, where he captained the cricket, soccer, and track and field teams.

​In Atlanta, CB quickly embedded himself in the local community. As a respected real estate and insurance broker, he was widely known for his professional integrity and his gift for connecting with people from every background.

​Though CB passed away in 2019, the strong relationships and positive mark he left on the Metropolitan Atlanta community endures.

Congratulations to his family & friends!

He will be honored today at the Church Service at 3pm. St. James United Methodist Church, 4400 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30342.
