I’m out door knocking in The Dalles today and I’m seeing lots and lots of Harris/Walz signs all over. A good omen. Keep up the hard work The Wasco County Democratic Central Committee!

🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🌈

This month, we celebrate the courage, strength, and love of the LGBTQ+ community. I am honored to stand on the shoulders of those who came before me and paved the way for greater acceptance and freedom. As a proud gay man, I know firsthand the journey to self-acceptance and the importance of living authentically.

Freedom is at the heart of our campaign — the freedom to be who you are, love who you love, and live without fear or prejudice. Let's continue to fight for a world where everyone can experience that freedom.

I’m running for State Representative because of the encouragement, love and support you’ve all given me over the years.

Each of you has played a part in this journey.

We’re going to win — together.

The Wasco County Democratic Central Committee is proud to announce our endorsements for the May 2024 election:

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris
Dan Ruby for Oregon, 2nd Congressional District
Nick Walden Poublon for Oregon HD 52, State House District 52
Kara Davis for Wasco District Attorney (karadavisforda.com)

Wasco Dems endorsed both Dan Richardson (Dan for Wasco County) and Darcy Long for county commissioner. In this race, if one candidate earns more than 50% of the vote in May, they win. If not, the top two vote-getters will run-off in November.

Another sure sign of spring is the Oregon Trail Democrats’ Spring Adopt-a-road clean up. We are scheduled this spring for Saturday, April 27 th 2024, to clean our usual stretch of road, near Sandy Oregon. Always a fun event, we are short a few “ringers” this time around so if you’ve never joined us for one of these, or if it’s been a while, this would be a perfect time for your participation. The pre-fun starts at 9:30 a.m. and the clean-up starts around 10. We are usually done by noon. If you’re interested (and have not already done so) please RSVP to O.T.D. Volunteer Walt Trandum at [email protected] or 503-668-7618. Thanks for your kind attention. Hope to see you there!
