Today, we pause to remember two cherished members of our Bentley family, Anne Wootton and Maya Martin.
This school year, our community experienced the heartbreaking loss of a beloved teacher and a beloved student. While their time with us was far too short, the impact they made on our school will never be forgotten.
Throughout their time at Bentley, both Anne and Maya demonstrated a strength that inspired those around them. While many may not have fully known the challenges they faced, they continued to show up each day with courage, resilience, and determination. Their ability to face difficult circumstances with grace serves as a lasting example to us all.
Anne dedicated her life to inspiring and supporting students, leaving a lasting mark on countless children, families, and colleagues. Maya brought joy, kindness, and a bright spirit that touched the hearts of everyone around her.
As we reflect on this school year, we honor their memories and the ways they helped make Bentley a special place. Their legacy lives on through the relationships they built, the lives they touched, and the love they shared.
Please join us in keeping their families, friends, classmates, students, and colleagues in your thoughts.
Forever a part of Bentley Elementary. Forever a Bentley Deer.
