Now through July 14, you can support Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia in two impactful ways through Food Lion Feeds.

🛍️ Purchase a specially marked Food Lion Feeds reusable bag and help provide 40 meals for children and families facing hunger across Coastal Georgia.

🥫 Donate kid-friendly food items through the School's Out Summer Food Drive with Food Lion and WSAV. These donations help ensure children have access to nutritious meals while school is out.

🍬❤️ Pralines for a Purpose is back!

Looking for a sweet way to make a difference? River Street Sweets is helping support children in our community through Kids Cafe® and Feeding America.

🧢 Purchase a "Just Here for the Candy" hat for $40. River Street Sweets donates $5 from every hat sold to support Kids Cafe® and help provide nutritious meals for children.

📅 National Praline Day is Wednesday, June 24!
From June 24–28, River Street Sweets will donate 10% of all in-store and online praline sales to support Kids Cafe®. Guests can also round up their purchase at the register or make a donation in-store at any of their 16 locations.

Kids Cafe® helps ensure children have access to nutritious meals, educational support, and safe places to gather when school is not in session—especially during the summer months when many children lose access to school meal programs.

Over the past 10 years, River Street Sweets has helped provide more than 440,000 meals through this incredible partnership. ❤️

Free breakfast and lunch are available for all children and teens 18 and under at participating Summer Feeding sites across Coastal Georgia.

This week's menu includes turkey meatballs, sloppy joes, chicken with shredded cheese salad, turkey hot dogs, and mozzarella string cheese with turkey. 🍎🌭🥗🧀

Every meal packed, every box assembled, and every hour volunteered helps us move closer to a hunger-free Coastal Georgia.

We're incredibly grateful for these recent volunteer groups who rolled up their sleeves and made a meaningful impact at Second Harvest:

Together, these groups helped pack thousands of breakfast kits and senior food boxes that will support children, families, and older adults across our community.

Juneteenth is a time to reflect, celebrate, learn, and come together as a community. ❤️💛💚

Across Coastal Georgia, organizations and community groups are honoring the holiday through festivals, performances, educational events, and celebrations. We’ve shared a few opportunities originally compiled by The Current Georgia for anyone looking to participate this weekend.

A huge thank you to The Home Depot Foundation for supporting our community garden with generous grant and a day of hands-on volunteer service! 🌿🧡

Team Depot volunteers spent the day building new planter boxes and making improvements to our garden space, helping create more opportunities to grow fresh produce for our community.

This investment will strengthen our garden's ability to provide healthy food, educational opportunities, and a welcoming space where neighbors can connect and learn.

We're so grateful for this partnership and the volunteers who helped bring this project to life!
