Tomorrow, September 29, is Hunger Action Day! 🧡

Hunger Action Day is a nationwide call to turn awareness into action during Hunger Action Month.

It’s a chance to learn about hunger in our communities, speak up for our neighbors and help make sure more people have access to the food they need.

Here in Coastal Georgia, more than 130,000 of our neighbors face hunger. Across the 21 counties Second Harvest serves, we see what’s possible when people come together to help. You can be part of that effort: wear orange to start a conversation, share this post, volunteer, advocate or make a donation.

Whatever action you choose, you can help make tomorrow a day that moves our community forward. Tell us how you’re taking action! 🧡

Every day, our food service staff prepares and pack meals for children in need across Coastal Georiga.Their work begins long before a meal reaches a child afterschool.

A huge thank-you to the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia for this incredibly sweet donation. These Girl Scout Cookies will help bring joy to children, families and seniors throughout Coastal Georgia! 💚🧡

Keep the celebration going tomorrow at Family Fun Day at Camp Low!

Enjoy archery, a low ropes course, s’mores and more. Be sure to look for the Second Harvest booth while you’re there and stop by to say hello!

What an incredible day in Glynn County! 🧡

With the help of 75 amazing volunteers, we served 342 households in just an hour and a half at this months Glynn County Mobile Food Pantry.

A huge thank you to the volunteers from Sea Palms Resort, . Simons Island, Hilton Garden Inn/Home2Suites Brunswick, Set Free and the culinary arts students from Golden Isles College and Career Academy. Your hard work helped provide food, hope and support to neighbors throughout the community.

🧡 Make giving back part of your plans this week with these Hunger Action Month events!

🚘 Help drive out hunger at Chatham Parkway Lexus every Tuesday and Thursday. Each eligible test drive donates $10, and each vehicle purchased donates $100 to Second Harvest.

🌮 Celebrate Taco Tuesday at Bull Street Taco, where a portion of purchases from its special menu and merchandise will benefit Second Harvest every Tuesday in September.

🚗 Choose a Protect Wash at either Savannah MOJO Car Wash location throughout September, and $10 will be donated to Second Harvest.

👒 Design your own felt hat with dried flowers at Syd Nichole’s Fall Hat Workshop on September 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Eastern Wharf. Twenty percent of all sales will benefit Second Harvest. Reservations are required! Go to sydnichole.com to reserve your spot!

We are incredibly grateful to Sea Island for once again bringing together an unforgettable evening of fine dining and philanthropy in support of Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia!

The 4th Annual Sea Island Chefs Classic will take place on Saturday, September 26, at The Cloister. Guests will enjoy an elegant five-course dinner, live music, a silent auction and a live auction, all while helping us provide nutritious meals and hope to neighbors experiencing hunger throughout Coastal Georgia.

We are so thankful to Sea Island, the talented participating chefs, generous sponsors and everyone who will attend this special evening. Your support helps Second Harvest’s Southeast branch continue serving neighbors across the southern counties of our 21-county service area.

🚘 Help us Drive Out Hunger this Hunger Action Month!

Reminder: Every Tuesday and Thursday in September, visit Chatham Parkway Lexus and take a test drive in any eligible vehicle. For every test drive, Chatham Parkway Lexus will donate $10 to Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, with no purchase necessary. If you find your perfect car, they will donate an additional $100 for every vehicle purchased!

You can also bring nonperishable food items to the dealership throughout September to help stock our shelves and feed families across Coastal Georgia. 🧡
