📚✨ Together, We Can inspire a lifelong love of reading! ✨📚

This summer, the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office proudly partnered with Live Oak Public Libraries and the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System to encourage reading throughout our community. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏾📖

Sheriff Richard S. Coleman challenged the community to help reach a goal of 300 registered participants. Thanks to an incredible response, that goal was surpassed—with 480 participants registering! 🎯🎉👏🏽

Across the entire Summer Reading Program, 6,712 readers logged an outstanding 4,474,003 minutes, far exceeding the community goal of 3 million minutes! 📚⏱️🏆

📚🍎 The first day of school is always a special one! ✏️🎒

On Monday, Sheriff Richard Coleman, alongside our Community Engagement Unit, local faith organizations, and community partners, welcomed students back to Gadsden Elementary School with smiles, encouragement, high fives, and donated school supplies to help them start the year prepared for success. 💙🙌

As we prepare for another successful school year 📚✨, we’re grateful for community partners who share our commitment to the children and families of Chatham County 💙.

A special thank you to Walmart for partnering with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office to provide resources that will help purchase much-needed school supplies ✏️📓 for students in our community.

This effort was coordinated through the Community Engagement Unit, led by Lt. Jovan Murphy Sr. 👮🏽‍♂️, whose team continues to strengthen relationships and support initiatives that directly benefit the citizens of our county💪🏽🌟.

Sheriff Coleman shared, “When our community comes together to support our students, we are investing directly in the future of Chatham County. These partnerships ensure our children have the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed 📖🚀.”
