I am posting this, because Tom Kennedy, disgraced former City Chair has been making totally ridiculous claims on the internet while attacking current City Chair Joe Morlock.

Kennedy claims he had "48 Committee members" when he was chair. Bu****it. The county keeps official lists with dates. Here is the history

The highest Committee Count for the City was 48 members on February 2, 2023, when I was chair. 34 of these were real members who attended at least one meeting. 14 were added on paper in order to boost the City's weighted vote for a fight over a Supreme Court nomination.

The next record the County has is from 2-20-25, when a number of people on the City Committee died or resigned, taking the official number down to just 8 members. After petitions were carried in March, the number of Committee people under Kennedy's leadership number a total of 25.

On 11-13-25, Tom tried to add 14 members. It was determined that 2 were already on the committee and five did not live in the correct Assembly District. One lived in Albany County. With those additions there were 31 City Committee members, though upon review at least six were only members on paper.

on 11-18-25, Kennedy was removed as Chair for incompetence

Since December 2025, membership has fluctuated between 25-41 members. To be fair, the number of active members is smaller than that and meetings have drawn 6-12 people as Joe Morlock rebuilt the committee from the disaster Tom left.

None of the prior city members under Kennedy are on the new committee. All had a temper tantrum and resigned and are doing and have done zip to advance the GOP in the City.

BTW-the City Committee has over 5k in the bank now, at least twice as much if not more, than at any time during Kennedy's chairmanship.

AT NO TIME DID THE CITY COMMITTEE HAVE 48 MEMBERS UNDER KENNEDY. It was never ABOVE 31 with some at least being inactive paper members.

Tom Kennedy is someone who wants attention and titles more than life itself. Inside him is a small, insecure little boy inside a bloated body. He fancies himself a tough guy, but he can barely get out of bed many days.

The City of Schenectady is expanding its use of license plate readers throughout the city. What is your opinion on this decision? This is very controversial in other places due to privacy concerns, but police here say its used to help with response to crime etc.

The police department installed 14 Axon Outpost cameras around the city, more than doubling the number of cameras used to collect data in the city.

At this point, being down 10 in a heavy Democrat state is a solid position. Hochul remains very unpopular and the left of her own party isnt motivated to show up to vote. We need a Republican Governor in the worst way. Let's do all we can to support Bruce Blakeman!

This guy... visiting illegals in Buffalo. Has he ever visited a victim of a violent crime committed by an illegal? No. Did he vote to make states hold illegals who committed violent crime ( the Laken Riley Act) Nope he voted no.

Paul Tonko has been an elected official his entire adult life. What specifically has he ever accomplished that helped make upstate NY a better place to live ?

Kathy Hochul and Tish James think they can use an unconstitutional state law to force our county Sheriff's and others to stop working with ICE to arrest/detain/ deport illegal aliens. We stand with Sheriff Todd Hodd ( running for LG) Sheriff Fred Akshar and Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin and others for refusing to comply.

Hochul has people leaving the state by the droves. You think she'd be more interested in addressing the outmigration of taxpayers from NY rather than holding onto illegals that cost us money every single day while paying no income or property taxes.

Go figure

Broome County Sheriff Fred Akshar strongly criticized Governor Hochul's mandate to terminate ICE cooperation, calling it "hypocrisy" and a "political stunt."

The Passing of Schenectady Police Detective Timothy Higgins

During the overnight hours of July 27, 2026, Detective Timothy Higgins passed away at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City following a prolonged battle with cancer.

Detective Higgins joined the Schenectady Police Department in 2010 and dedicated his professional life to serving the residents of the City of Schenectady. He most recently served as a Detective in the Youth Aid Bureau and previously served in the Criminal Investigations Unit. Before that, he worked as a general patrol officer and a community police officer assigned to both the Woodlawn and Mt. Pleasant neighborhoods.

“Detective Higgins devoted nearly sixteen years of his life to protecting and serving the people of Schenectady. Tim was a dedicated police officer, a trusted colleague, and a true friend to so many throughout our department and community. His compassion, strength, sense of humor, and commitment to helping others were evident throughout his career. Tim’s loss is immeasurable, and our entire department stands with his family during this incredibly difficult time. We will forever be grateful for his service, his friendship, and the lasting impact he made on the Schenectady Police Department and the city he proudly served,” said Schenectady Police Chief Brian Whipple.

Tim’s passing at just 39 years old is a heartbreaking reminder of how precious life is. In recent days, the Higgins family has received an extraordinary outpouring of support from the community, the Schenectady Police Department, and fellow first responders throughout the region. This support reflects the profound impact Tim made on those who had the privilege of knowing him during his sixteen years of service.
