Senator Fahy and her allies should be ashamed of themselves. Criticizing the Federal Government on veterans issues while the all Democrat State Government they lead cuts much needed funding from veterans programs? Disgusting. Anyone standing with Fahy and Santabarbara in this line of attack needs to be called on the carpet. Thank you Martha Marti McHugh for Senate !

Let’s be clear: that claim is false, and Senator Fahy should know better. Since Fahy has been Senator - Federal funding for veterans has INCREASED, while New York State has CUT its own veterans' services funding since 2024.
FACTS: At the federal level, total VA funding rose from about $307.3 billion in FY2024 to about $445.5 billion in FY2026 enacted. In New York, the state's own budget documents show veterans' services funding dropped after 2024, including a $2.8 million decrease in FY2025 and another $1.4 million decrease in FY2026. Those are the facts.
Veterans and their families deserve honesty. Standing in the parking lot expressing your outrage is not a solution and does nothing to help the people who served - it just misleads them.
