Parents & Families: Don’t Miss This!
Gratitude Initiatives (GI) will host a college planning workshop specifically for parents of military-connected students in grades 8–12.

GI experts will share information about:
Navigating today’s competitive college admissions landscape
Helping students stand out for admissions and scholarships
Practical strategies that can potentially save thousands of dollars on college costs
College and career planning
Test preparation
Financial aid counseling
Best of all, GI’s comprehensive college and career counseling program is completely FREE to military-connected families! 🙌

GI will also host a special parent workshop at 10:45 a.m. to explain how to enroll your student and take advantage of everything the program offers.

💜 SU***DE PREVENTION MONTH | MILITARY-CONNECTED STUDENTS

Military-connected students navigate unique experiences—frequent moves, school transitions, deployments, family separations, and reintegration. Strong connections at home, at school, and across the military community matter.

This September, take time to make sure students, families, and school partners know the resources available to them.

💜 Child & Youth MFLCs provide non-medical counseling and support to military children and youth, including support within participating schools.

💜 Military OneSource connects military families to confidential support, counseling options, and resources for navigating military life.

💜 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline provides 24/7 crisis support. Call or text 988. Service members and veterans can call 988 and Press 1.

Know the resources. Make the connection. Strengthen the support around our military-connected students.

🎉 Exciting Transportation News for Schriever SFB Families! 🚌

We’re excited to announce that James Irwin Charter Schools will begin providing transportation to Schriever Space Force Base families starting Monday, September 14, 2026! 🎉

Transportation will be available to all six James Irwin schools. If your student is currently enrolled at James Irwin and your family lives on Schriever SFB, we’d love for you to take advantage of this new transportation option!

👉 Bussing Request Submission
Completing the below form will allow James Irwin to finalize bus routes, stops, and transportation details before service begins. Participating families will receive additional information about pick-up/drop-off locations and times once enrollment is finalized.

🌅 Before & After School Care
We’re also excited to share that the School Age Center will be offering before- and after-school care for James Irwin Charter School students! ❤️
