AFAS Q&A: Can my spouse apply for assistance on my behalf?

Yes! Depending on the program, spouses of Airmen and Guardians may be able to apply for assistance on their behalf. Requirements vary by program, and some may require a Power of Attorney (POA).

We know military life is a family effort, and spouses are often the ones who reach out for support.

Have a question about AFAS assistance? Send it our way. We may feature it in an upcoming Q&A.
