Can I be real for a minute?
If you know me personally, you know I give 100% to everything I do. I have a full-time job that I truly love during the day. Then I come home to be a wife and mom before spending my evenings running KMac Threads.
I pour my heart into all of it.
Outside of work and my business, I have a few hobbies I enjoy too. I love coloring, tending to my garden, and spending quality time with my family.
Lately, I’ve been forcing myself to take breaks. Maybe it’s a night off here and there or a slower weekend. That’s not something that comes naturally to me. In fact, if I’m being honest, it makes me feel a little guilty. Like I’m not giving 100% the way I always have.
But the truth is, constantly being on the go is wearing me down, and I’m learning that rest isn’t being lazy, it’s preventing burnout.
This weekend, I intentionally slowed down. I spent time with my family, rested, and just enjoyed being present. It was something I didn’t realize I needed quite so much.
Moving forward, I’ll continue to take those occasional breaks when I need them. My business isn’t going anywhere, and I’ll continue serving my customers the best I can. You may or may not notice these moments on your end, but I wanted to be transparent because I believe honesty is important.
