The worst mistake we can make is to coronate any one candidate. The Democratic Party and more importantly, the American people deserve to hear from a multitude of different voices to properly determine who should carry the mantle of defender of our democracy. We need to emphasize getting this right over getting it done quick. The future of our Republic depends on how we move forward.

President Biden has done a tremendous job of leading us out of the pandemic by investing in our future and growing our economy, lowering prescription drug costs for our seniors and fighting for working people while being a responsible leader on the international stage.

We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to the President for his lifetime of service to our nation. The greatest act of patriotism is to put your nation’s interests ahead of your own and President Biden showed today he is a true patriot.

This election should not be about personality or any one Individual. This election is about so much more. This election is about what we value as Americans. I am confident the eventual Democratic nominee will properly represent the values of all Americans.
