Health rumors are everywhere we turn these days. Online, on TV, and even when we talk to our friends and neighbors. It can be incredibly difficult to know where to turn for reliable information.
This month marks National Immunization Awareness Month, a great time to find new, reliable sources of health information. But what do you look for? First and foremost, remember to trust your instincts. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Second, consider what the source of the information wants from you. Are they asking you to buy a product? Or are they presenting information and encouraging you to talk to your own doctor about it? Third, find experts in your own life who you can turn to for advice. Perhaps you know a nurse or pharmacist who can answer your questions.
We encourage you to use this month to learn more about vaccines, their safety, and their effectiveness.
