Not the best judgment call by Ned!!

Governor Lamont gave Kosta Diamantis a promotion and a raise, putting him in a position of enormous authority over taxpayer dollars. Today, a federal judge sentenced him to 84 months in prison for corruption.

Connecticut taxpayers deserve accountability. The Corruption Tax that you’re paying for under the Lamont administration has grown with scandal after scandal of wasted or stolen taxpayer dollars from senior officials in government. In my administration, the buck will stop with me, we’ll end the corruption tax, and make Connecticut affordable.

A well deserved endorsement from the Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police!

🚔 POLICE ENDORSEMENT: I’m honored to have the support of the Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police and the brave men and women who put on the uniform every day to keep our communities safe. I have always stood with our officers and supported policies that give them the resources, support, and authority they need to do their jobs — in opposition to Lamont’s radical policies that tie their hands. Connecticut is struggling to recruit and retain law enforcement officers, and too many of our officers are being asked to do more with less because of restrictive laws the governor supported and passed.

Gov. Lamont has repeatedly undermined our law enforcement, most notably by passing the 2020 Police Reform Bill despite opposition from thousands of police officers. We need leadership that puts public safety over political ideology.

As governor, I will stand with our officers, make public safety and safe streets a priority, and be the governor our law enforcement community needs.

Grrrr 3.....

Another CSCU leader, another resignation. CCSU President Dr. Zulma Toro announced that she is resigning from her position after being accused of bullying and intimidating staff, including allegations she had employees cut her food and watch her dog. It's the same system and the same pattern of corruption, but still no accountability.

Grrrr #2.....

Former CSCU Chancellor Terrence Cheng billed taxpayers for pricey meals and chauffeured rides, then collected $442,000 for a year as a "special advisor" and turned in a report that was mostly written by AI. His replacement, John Maduko, resigned amid a sexual harassment investigation. Connecticut’s students deserve better than this.

Grrrrr....

Gov. Lamont reappointed Marissa Gillett to run PURA while Connecticut families paid some of the highest electric rates in the country. Her own lawyers later admitted she and her staff misled a judge about deleted text messages. Senate Republicans walked out on a vote to reappoint her as chair and stood with rate payers against her corruption.
