📰Midweek Updates🗞️
Our little ghosts and goblins and teachers have been hard at work this week. Holidays are extra fun and extra messy and we love it that way.
⛳️Our golf tournament is next Friday and we need more golfers. We need at least 6 more teams. But the more the merrier.
💰Auction items to come!!! One item is already posted…a 5 night air bnb stay in Ellijay!
🏌️‍♀️Our students have been hard at work prepping for our tournament, filling swag bags, customizing golf balls, and organizing snacks.
✅I know our students have been working hard at school and progress reports came home this week. If you have a kiddo you want to brag on, send us a pic or a message or a shoutout. We will do a post celebrating them soon. Share about victories and successes. No accomplishment is too small to celebrate at Scenic Land! Honor roll is amazing but progress is just as cheer-worthy!

🚨Student Spotlight🔦
Zoom in on that grade, friends! Weston has been working super hard at Scenic Land Learning since last school year. He is such a hard worker. And his hard work is paying off. Keep up the good work, friend.
Send him some accolades in the comment section below!

✏️Motivation Monday
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind!” Dr. Seuss
✏️The students at our learning center sometimes learn differently, communicate differently, walk differently, or talk differently. As cliche as it might sound, we celebrate differences at Scenic Land. To be able to speak your truth and show what you know without a voice is quite a superpower. To prove doctors and teachers and strangers wrong by learning things and doing things nobody expected you to do, is quite an accomplishment. To have a learning disability and learn to read or solve math problems or write is a success story no matter the speed at which those skills are acquired. To have fine motor and gross motor challenges and still complete a puzzle independently, sort small objects, do daily tasks with minimal support, or navigate uneven terrain is no small feat.
✏️Different isn’t wrong. It’s just different. Put your preconceived notions about people aside and get to know them as people. Presume competence. They might just surprise you. Trust us. We know from experience.
🔈Say it louder for the people in the back. 😉 Please share!

We are less than 2 weeks away from our Not-Your-Average Golf Tournament. It will take place at Moccasin Bend Golf Course. The tournament is to support the students at Scenic Land Learning. Funds raised will help us keep the cost of homeschool support and tutoring as low as possible for our families. If you are a golfer, join us. If you know a golfer, tag them. If you want a chance at $7,500 cash, sign up.
