We’re at, Somer’s Community Day hosted by Somer’s Fire Department today from 10a-2pm at Sam’s Club.

Come for the fun, learn about resources in Kenosha County. Take home harm reduction tools, medication lock boxes, gun locks and life saving Naloxone.

Oh yeah…. Fire trucks, Flight for Life landing at noon, fire prevention education, food, kids games and community!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we are excited to support and participate in the Stride for Minds 3K on Saturday, May 30 at Petrifying Springs Park.

This event is being organized by students involved in Building Our Future's Youth Voice Project, who took the initiative to engage the Kenosha County Division of Behavioral Health Services as a partner around an issue they deeply care about: mental health awareness and community wellness.

Event Details:
📅 Saturday, May 30
⏰ 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM
📍 Petrifying Springs Park – near Biergarten
💙 Free for all ages

"I urge all gun owners to take simple but effective steps to prevent gun violence,” said Kenosha County Behavioral Health Services Director Kari Foss. “Using trigger locks and making sure guns are stored safely are easy steps people can take to help ensure fi****ms aren’t used to a violent end."

Kenosha County Behavioral Health Services is now offering gun trigger and cable locks at no cost at three vending machine locations stocked with various harm reduction resources.

Firearm owners are encouraged to use this resource to reduce the risk of injuries and deaths.

Vending machines are located:
📍 Inside the commons area at the Kenosha County Job Center, 8600 Sheridan Road, Entrance D.
📍 Outside the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program office, 2000 63rd St.
📍 Outside the Sharing Center, 25700 Wilmot Road (Highway C), Trevor.
