Lydia Chen has managed to become one of the top ranked figure skaters in the world, all before reaching eighteen. To most, Lydia seems cold, aloof, and distant; it’s only when faced with the one girl she sees as a rival that she’s able to open up. This story of competition, the heights it can inspire and the damage it can cause, is beautifully illustrated and told with a clear love for the sport itself. If you enjoy athletic rivalry and camaraderie, this graphic novel might be just the tale to tear through over the course of an afternoon or two.
