The Texas heat was in full force, but it didn't diminish the excitement as we officially broke ground on Station 75.

We were honored to celebrate this milestone with elected officials, community leaders, and project partners who joined us for this special occasion. Among those in attendance were Bulverde Mayor Helen Hays; BSB Area Chamber of Commerce representatives Rhonda Zunker and Maribel McElroy; ESD No. 4 Secretary Tom Hackleman; ESD No. 5 Treasurer Zachary Townsend, Comal County Commissioner Doug Leecock, Precinct 1; and Teresa Pick, District Director for State Rep. Carrie Isaac.

This isn't just another building project. It's an investment in public safety, emergency preparedness, and the well-being of the residents and businesses who depend upon a rapid, professional response when needed most.

As you head out for your morning commute, please be aware there are still 14 road closures across the county at this time.
Before you head out, check comalcounty.gov/cceo (click on road closures tab) for the latest on county road closures, or DriveTexas.org for conditions statewide.
Give yourself a few extra minutes this morning, and never drive through a flooded roadway. Turn around, don't drown.
Stay safe out there, and we'll keep you updated as conditions change.

GUADALUPE RIVER UPDATE — Comal County
We want to keep our residents informed and prepared, not alarmed.
Here's what's happening with the Guadalupe River near Spring Branch.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the Guadalupe River near Spring Branch, affecting Comal County. Moderate flooding is forecast from this evening through early Saturday morning.
That means, as the river rises, conditions along the Guadalupe from Guadalupe River State Park up to Canyon Lake also become increasingly dangerous for swimming, tubing, kayaking and other recreation.
If you live or spend time along the river, especially in low-lying areas near Spring Branch, Guadalupe River State Park, or Canyon Lake, please stay alert to changing conditions through tomorrow. Keep in mind, this water is also carrying downed trees, branches, and other debris picked up along the way. Combined with strong currents, that debris makes the river extremely dangerous to be in or near right now, even for strong swimmers.
Please stay out of the water until conditions improve.
