At Our Next Meeting, May 26, 2026 - Topic: Essential Caregivers – What is this and why this is important for those living in long-term care.
Description: Essential Caregiving is when a person living in long-term care designates someone to be there as support, if the doors ever become closed again as they did during the pandemic. Illinois passed legislation last year to encourage people to designate someone. Federally efforts are being made to make this a national standard. During this meeting come hear a National Advocate, Mary Nichol, share her story, why this is important and what you can do to ensure that you and your loved one, are not denied visitation if a national emergency was to ever happen again.
