We are excited to welcome our students in Grades 6, 7 and 10-12 back to Global Impact for the first day of school.

Whether you're walking through our doors for the first time or your final first day as a senior, we hope today is the beginning of a great year.

This summer, Global Impact STEM Academy teacher Rachel Sanders joined fellow science educators in Kentucky for hands-on learning, collaboration and real-world STEM experiences through a The University of Toledo-led initiative.

We’re proud to see Ms. Sanders representing Global Impact and bringing new ideas and experiences back to our students.

Eighteen master teaching fellows are participating in the five-year program supported by $2.3 million through the National Science Foundation’s Robert Noyce Scholarship Program.

The first week of school is exciting and busy. A few small things can help drop-off and pick-up go much more smoothly for everyone.

• Follow staff directions.
• Pull forward before stopping.
• Have backpacks ready before arriving.
• Students should exit and enter from the passenger side whenever possible.

As families finish back-to-school shopping, here's a reminder about this year's dress code.

Students may wear:
• Solid T-shirts, polos, button-up shirts and Global Impact apparel (no hoodies!)
• Jeans (no rips or tears), khakis and skirts or dresses that reach the knee (no shorts, no athletic pants!)
• Close-toed shoes (no crocs, no slides!)

Starting the year with the right attire helps students focus on what matters most: learning.
