🐾💡What the Wildcats are Learning💡🐾

Mrs. James' 4th-grade classroom recently enjoyed a "Candy Land" day. Students read "Small Steps", the story of Eleanor Abbott. Eleanor was diagnosed with polio and invented the beloved board game to bring joy to children who also suffered from polio.

During "Candy Land Day," students answered comprehension questions to move around the game board. Chocolate milk was also served because the book's main character drank it to reduce her fever when she had polio. It was a great day of Wildcats connecting to their text in a fun way!

🐾💡What the Wildcats are Learning💡🐾

Mr. Hausch's Drones 1 and 2 and Drone Maintenance students had an experiential learning opportunity at a recent drone event at YSU.

The Wildcats traveled to the ESC-sponsored event to perform a simulated search and rescue mission using the thermal drone. The experience connected our students with a real-world application of drones, and we are proud of how they represented Struthers!
