Did you know that National Son and Daughter Day traces its roots back to 1936 in St. Joseph, Missouri? A local man named J. Henry Dusenberry came up with the idea after overhearing a young boy ask why parents had Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, but kids didn't have a holiday of their own.
Today we're celebrating by introducing Forrest! 💙
Forrest is an energetic and resilient 6-year-old boy who warms up quickly to new people and loves playing with Legos, toy cars, and outdoor sports. Active and bright, Forrest thrives in consistent routines and is making steady progress with targeted support for mild speech and fine motor delays, ADHD, and autism. He is in good overall health, requiring only routine monitoring for a minor heart condition (ASD) that doesn't slow him down a bit.
Forrest is searching for a patient, nurturing family who can offer a stable environment, consistent care, and unconditional love as he continues to reach his fullest potential.
Is Forrest the son you’re waiting to celebrate?
