We had a busy week in Kindergarten! We worked hard practicing our new letter of the week, practicing our fine motor skills , and we read Chica Chica Boom Boom, one of our favorite books!

Our fourth graders worked together during a gallery walk to learn about the battles of the American Revolution! Students explored different stations, discussed what they learned, and worked as a team to answer questions. We love seeing our students learning, collaborating, and having fun with history!

Third graders are diving into poetry this week! They are exploring stanzas, lines, rhyme scheme, author’s purpose, and central message while partner reading poems about the sea.

Please help us welcome two new faces to TES, Ms. Kinslee Eskew and Ms. Julia Chang. Ms. Kinslee is serving as our Clinic Assistant Intern in our clinic and Ms. Julia is serving in the Media Center as our Media Intern. Both of these ladies are joining us through the Carroll County School Work Based Learning Program and are seniors at Temple High School. We look forward to a great year connecting with them! It's a great day to be a tiger!

Second grade students used a variety of strategies to practice addition and subtraction. We especially enjoyed drawing on tables to use number bonds and tens frames. We ended the week with a friendly competition of math fact tug of war!
