3rd grade QUEST had a Fin-tastic time sleeping with the sharks during their sleepover at the Georgia Aquarium. They enjoyed behind the scenes tours of the medical center, filtration system, coral reef and saw many of the aquatic animals. Their favorite was the touch tank and feeding the whale shark. It’s a great day to be a Tiger!

Second graders used INFERENCING skills to determine which suspect destroyed our classrooms.

Student detectives were officially special agents with ID badges. We investigated clues. We noticed crumpled paper and broken pencils/crayons, books on the floor, empty popcorn bags, blankets, dry erase boards with messy writing, Krabby Patties, and math manipulatives all over our classrooms.

Suspects included: Sponge Bob, Harry Potter, Dory, Baby Yoda, and Red Crew Mate.

We recruited Mr Vohun to check the cameras to see if he could help us with the evidence.

The special 2nd grade agents concluded the guilt party is: Sponge Bob!

🎃 Our Mighty Math Tigers had some fun in the pumpkin patch!
Today, students put their place value knowledge to the test during our Pumpkin Patch Place Value Challenge. Using our new place value trays, students built numbers, solved place value riddles and worked together to successfully complete the challenge.
There was plenty of thinking, problem-solving, and math talk happening along the way! And, of course, everyone who successfully completed the challenge earned a mini pumpkin to celebrate their hard work. 🎃
