I personally sent Ben Hymes an email. A facebook message and a phone message, asking him to join Waldo County Bounty in their effort to address the SNAP benefits crisis now taking place. No response. Didn't see him at the meeting.

I subscribe to the online New York times. they give me ten free "gift articles" per month, allowing me to share items that would otherwise be behind the paywall. this one caught my eye and I am sharing it with my closest friends. why not share it with Others who live in district 38 and ask them to like this page?

Yesterday was a slow day at he grocery store. I was the only person at the checkout and I asked the clerks how many people used SNAP to assist with groceries. they told me "about two-thirds." We need to take collective action on this issue, the sooner the better.

I created this page a couple years ago specifically as part of long range outreach to fellow Democrats or unenrolled people in the towns of "Inland Waldo." most of these towns have some sort of generic FaceBook page for town announcements of "taxpayers of (name of town)" but which don't allow political posts. the election is a year away, but we need to start growing the reach of this page now so that the eventual Primary winner doesn't have to scramble at the last minute. So - a simple request - if you already "like" the page, would you please share it with your like-minded friends in this region and help us develop?
