Led Zepagain, Simi Valley’s own internationally acclaimed Led Zeppelin tribute band, will headline the Simi Valley Royal Charity Concert on Friday, September 11, at Royal High School Stadium. Gates open at 5:30 PM, with the concert beginning at 7:30 PM.

The family-friendly event combines a full concert experience with a community festival atmosphere, including food trucks, local vendors, and Led Zepagain merchandise. Proceeds from the concert will support school programs, arts programs, and families of students facing financial hardship.

The Marcello Ristorante sign is gone and the windows are covered at 140 W. Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks. The new eatery assigned the on-site beer and wine permit is Capri Trattoria and Pizzeria. State licensing records list Nando Silvestri as a member and managing member of the permit holder, Tutto Bene Restaurant Group, LLC. Silvestri also owns Spumoni Pizza Restaurant in Santa Monica.

The Camarillo Costco is taking shape. Warehouse opening date on the Costco website still indicates 10/30/26, exactly 2 months from today. The gas station opened on May 1st. There will be an estimated 900 parking spaces, and some dedicated EV charging stalls. www.costco.com/w/-/ca/camarillo/1680

Located between Leo Carrillo State Beach and Point Dume State Beach, Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach consists of a series of scenic coves, or "pocket beaches," along Malibu's western coastline, including El Pescador, La Piedra, and El Matador.

Steep, uneven stairs lead down to approximately 10 acres of narrow sandy beach at El Pescador, located just east of Decker Canyon Road (SR-23). A fairly long hiking trail provides access to La Piedra's 9-acre beach. El Matador, located just east of Encinal Canyon Road along Pacific Coast Highway, is known for its dramatic sea stacks, rock formations, and caves. Reaching the beach requires a short dirt trail followed by a long staircase descending to about 18 acres of shoreline. Paid parking is limited at all three beaches, and parking along Pacific Coast Highway can be difficult to find. El Matador, in particular, is often crowded. Dogs are not permitted on most California state beaches (www.parks.ca.gov/Dogs)

Poke & K-Roll soft-opened two days ago at 455 Carmen Drive in Camarillo's Carmen Plaza, taking over the former Poke U & Me location.

For those unfamiliar with K-rolls, they are based on kimbap (also spelled gimbap), a popular Korean dish made with rice seasoned with sesame oil, wrapped in seaweed, and filled with ingredients such as bulgogi, egg, vegetables, and pickled radishes, and also crab meat, spicy tuna, avocado, etc. on IG 805-482-9812
