The Western Foundation of Vertebrate Zoology (WFVZ) Bird Museum (439 Calle San Pablo) will open for a rare weekend visit tomorrow, Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Located in Camarillo, the WFVZ is Ventura County's only natural history museum, featuring a world-renowned collection of taxidermy birds, eggs, and nests.

Visitors can get an up-close look at familiar backyard birds and rare species alike, with activities suited for both children and adults. Admission is $10, with free entry for children under 5 and for museum members. Guests may pay at the door or reserve a spot in advance online at wfvz.org.

Pleasant Valley Aquatic Center in Camarillo (1030 Temple Avenue) is home to Ventura County’s only indoor public swimming pool. The facility features eight 25‑yard lanes, a one‑meter diving board, a 65‑foot spiral slide, and. (A swim test is required for the slide and diving board for ages 7+.) The pool stays heated at 81–83 degrees.

Recreational swim runs Tues/Thurs/Fri/Sat from 1:30–4pm, June 15 through August 22. Admission is $4 for ages 4+, free for ages 3 and under, and $3 for ages 60+. More details at www.pvrpd.org/aquatic-center.

Concert starts at 6pm.
