Located in a faithful reproduction of the 1880s’ adobe officer quarters, the Fort Lowell Museum features exhibits and activities chronicling army life during the Apache wars. The building hold permanent and changing exhibits featuring military artifacts.

Our Story

Fort Lowell Museum tells the historic story of Fort Lowell during the Apache Wars. Housed in a accurate replica of the Commanding Officers quarters, circa 1885. The building holds permanent and changing exhibits featuring military artifacts.

Located in Fort Lowell Park, our museum is family and pet friendly! Bring the whole family into our air conditioned building to learn and explore the many hands on items available. Young history enthusiasts can enjoy one of our museum scavenger hunts for the chance to win a prize!

Join us every Second Saturday for our family crafts. October through March you can dip your own bees wax candles! April through September you can explore the history of soap and design your own soap bar! There is no need to call ahead or reserve a spot, crafting goes from 11:00-3:00 and is only $4.00.
