Dear Kendall Whittier Families,
We are excited to welcome our students back for another great school year! As the first day of school gets closer, here are a few important reminders to help your child have a great start.
Morning Arrival
• Students may arrive as early as 7:00 a.m. for breakfast. The doors behind the bike racks will open at 7:00 a.m. Breakfast will only be served in the cafeteria and ends at 7:20.
• At 7:15 a.m., the doors on the U drive on the east side of the building will open for PK-2nd grade and the doors beside the gym on the southwest side will open for 3rd-5th grade. Bus students will enter through the main entrance.
• Students who arrive after 7:35 a.m. will be marked tardy and must be checked in through the front office by a parent or guardian. Please do not leave your child unattended at the front of the school.
Start Getting Ready Now
There are only 16 days until the first day of school! Now is a great time to begin adjusting your child's bedtime and morning routine so they can arrive each day rested, on time, and ready to learn.
Meet the Teacher
We hope you'll join us for Meet the Teacher on Tuesday, August 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to:
• Meet your child's teacher.
• Visit the classroom.
• Learn about important school procedures.
• Explore clubs and programs available this year.
• Get ready for a successful school year.
