Street School Tulsa

Street School Tulsa Building healthy minds, creating opportunities & preparing students for the future.

Street School is a non-profit alternative education and counseling program that transforms lives by building healthy minds, creating opportunities, and preparing students for the future. We create a supportive community for students in grades 9 through 12 who have chosen to work toward high school graduation in a non-traditional setting. Street School is a dropout prevention, intervention and recovery program accredited by Tulsa Public Schools and recognized nationally as a leader in working with at-risk youth. Students choose to attend Street School because they are committed to graduating from high school, to learning and practicing life skills, to resolving substance abuse problems, to dealing with behavioral issues, and to filling the void of support traditionally provided by family.

Meet Zach, our new Math teacher!

Although “new” might be a stretch. Zach has been a longtime substitute at Street School, and we’re excited to officially make him part of the team!

When he’s not solving for x, Zach enjoys reading and playing My Singing Monsters with his young nieces. They also agree on one very important fact: Frozen 2 is a way better story than Frozen.

Help us officially welcome Zach to the Street School team! 💙

Day of Caring = DONE and DELIVERED. 🙌💙 Thankful to Tulsa Area United Way for their partnership.

Our friends at ONEOK made our campus look ✨fancy✨ tackling the landscaping AND washing and detailing all SIX of our vehicles. Oh, and hanging up our new signage donated by The Gathering Place.

AND Arvest employees stocked and organized our student pantry like absolute pros and cleaned out closets stuffed with years of supplies🥫👏

Clean campus. Sparkling rides. Full pantry. Happy Street School. 💙

We are SO grateful for partners who show up, roll up their sleeves and get 👏 it 👏 done 👏. Thank you, ONEOK + Arvest!

Learning looks a little different around here and we like it that way!

Our students took physics off the page with an Egg Drop Challenge, using critical thinking and creativity to design a way to keep their eggs intact after a serious drop. Hands-on learning + a little friendly competition = our kind of classroom.

PS: NOT A SINGLE EGG CRACKED!
