GTAR's Backpacks for Kids

GTAR's Backpacks for Kids Our 2026 goal is to provide backpacks filled with clothing to 500 children in need. We'll accomplish this by raising $50,000 before June 30th!

Backpacks for Kids has raised over $450,000 to purchase and fill backpacks for children with essentials such as pants, shirts, socks and shoes for the first day of school. Backpacks for Kids began in 2006, as a community outreach program for the Greater Tulsa Association of REALTORS. Children are chosen by Family & Children's Services of Tulsa. Each FULL backpack costs approximately $75.00. In ear

ly August, before the first day of school, the kids are treated with a pizza party where they receive their backpacks. Let's make this year amazing!

Skip cooking and support a great cause at the same time!

Join us for McAlister’s Deli Spirit Night benefiting GTAR’s Backpacks for Kids from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at participating locations in Broken Arrow, Owasso, and Tulsa (91st Street).

✨ 20% of sales will be donated back to Backpacks for Kids, helping provide necessities to local children in need.
