Heads up, Tulsa County! Mill and overlay work on 91st St. S from Hwy 75 to Elwood Ave is scheduled to begin the week of June 8, weather permitting.

Even though school is out, there’s still a lot of construction activity in this area, so please plan extra time and use caution around crews.

Commissioner Lonnie Sims met up along the stretch of road to give everyone a clear heads‑up before the work starts.

Please share to help keep everyone moving safely.

Thank you to Northeastern State University Broken Arrow for welcoming Assistant Emergency Management Director Greg Morgan as a guest speaker at this year's CERT Youth Camp!

Programs like this help students develop leadership skills while learning how to make their homes, schools, and communities better prepared for emergencies. We're grateful for the opportunity to share the importance of emergency preparedness with these future leaders.

🚧𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐃 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐓 – 𝟏𝟎𝟏𝐬𝐭 & 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Starting 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟱 (weather permitting), the 101st & Garnett intersection will be completely closed for the road widening project.

This is a major phase of construction, and the intersection is expected to remain closed for more than six months.

If this is part of your daily commute, now is a good time to start planning an alternate route. Expect detours, extra travel time, and plenty of construction activity in the area.

We know this will be an inconvenience, but these improvements are being made to help accommodate growth and improve traffic flow for years to come.
