A group of 75 Lee County School District educators got a big surprise, when they found out they will be part of an exciting year-long professional development experience!

Huntington Bank has awarded more than 250 educators from across the state a chance to participate in Huntington's Ignite the Classroom initiative at NO COST. Part of the program takes place this summer at the renowned Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta. Pictured are just a few of the LCSD educators who received the news directly from Ron Clark himself at an event last week in Tupelo.

This incredible opportunity for teachers is designed to strengthen instructional excellence in the classroom with sessions that run throughout the year. Congratulations to the teachers selected, and special thanks to the Ron Clark Academy and Huntington Bank for investing in our educators and our future!

Seniors are ready for Saturday! 🎓

Today, all three high schools in the district held graduation practices to make sure the day will be a memorable one for themselves and all who attend.

Because of this week's rain, Saltillo High School's graduation ceremony will now be held Saturday at 12:00pm at the Cadence Bank Arena in Tupelo.

Mooreville High's ceremony follows at 3:00pm, and Shannon High's graduates will walk the stage at 6:00pm.
