Nurse Honor Guard of West Alabama We are a group of active and retired nurse volunteers who provide honor guard service to fallen nurses.

We perform a service similar to the military & police department, Dressed in traditional white uniform, we also provide living and retirement tributes.

🌹 HELP US INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE NURSE HONOR GUARD! 🕯️

I first learned about the Nurse Honor Guard 2½ years ago, and I was amazed to discover that this beautiful tradition of nurses honoring nurses has existed since 2003.

Yet today, so many nurses, families, healthcare organizations, and communities still don’t know that Nurse Honor Guards exist.

That’s why awareness matters.

Every time you LIKE, SHARE, FOLLOW, or tell someone about the Nurse Honor Guard, you help carry our mission a little farther. You may help a family discover that their beloved nurse can receive a final tribute honoring a lifetime of service.

What an amazing day at the inaugural Alabama Nurse Honor Guard Conference! We welcomed 94 attendees from across Alabama to learn, connect, share ideas, and celebrate our shared mission of Nurses Honoring Nurses.

Your feedback from the evaluations said it best—great speakers, meaningful education, networking, new ideas, collaboration, and renewed enthusiasm! From creating meaningful tributes and fundraising to grief support, self-care, and preserving the nursing legacy, we truly learned from one another.
