🤝 Collaboration is Key! 🤝

At Hope for Families Center, we know that strong community partnerships create stronger outcomes for families.

When Executive Director Marty Mercado attended a STEP Program graduation at United Against Poverty, she met Alfonso, a graduate whose initiative, determination, and passion for serving others immediately stood out. He introduced himself, shared his resume, and expressed his interest in becoming part of our mission.

Today, Alfonso is a valued member of the Hope for Families Center team as our Administrative Assistant. His journey is a wonderful example of what can happen when organizations work together to create opportunities and invest in people.

Thank you to our partners at United Against Poverty for the incredible work you do. Together, we are building stronger futures for individuals, families, and our community.

And where are we going? UP! 🚀💙

We are grateful to Cleveland Clinic for sponsoring our Community Garden at The Hope for Families Center.

This 3-year project will help strengthen food security by increasing access to fresh, healthy food for the families we serve. It will also create a meaningful learning opportunity for our children, giving them hands-on experience in how food is grown and helping them build lifelong healthy habits.

We are proud to partner with organizations that invest in the health and well-being of our community.

If you are interested in volunteering to support this project, please email [email protected].

Tonight, The Hope for Families Center officially launched Chapters of Hope, a reading incentive program created to encourage literacy, imagination, and confidence in the children staying at the shelter. 📚❤️

Homelessness impacts so much more than housing — it can affect a child’s sense of stability, confidence, and opportunity to simply enjoy being a kid. Tonight was about creating moments of hope, connection, and joy through reading and mentorship. ✨

At Hope for Families, every chapter matters, and these children’s stories are still being written.
