PARTNERSHIP IN ACTION | SERVING BEYOND OUR CITY

The Vicksburg Police Department is proud to support our fellow law enforcement agencies through the donation of two police vehicles.

One vehicle was presented to Chief Demarcus Friend of the Durant Police Department, and another to Assistant Chief/Chief Investigator Brandon Williams of the Bolton Police Department.

Law enforcement is bigger than one department or one community. When agencies work together and share resources, we strengthen our ability to serve and protect communities across Mississippi.

⚖️ GRAND JURY UPDATE | AUGUST 2026

The Vicksburg Police Department remains committed to the apprehension and prosecution of wrongdoers in our city. 🚔 We continue to work diligently alongside the District Attorney’s Office to help keep our community safe.

📊 During the most recent Grand Jury, a total of 48 indictments were returned in cases investigated by the Vicksburg Police Department and presented to the Grand Jury.

🔹 23 Property Crime Cases
🔹 13 Violent Crime Cases
🔹 8 Drug Cases
🔹 4 DUI Cases

👏 We would like to recognize the men and women of our Criminal Investigations Division for their continued hard work, dedication, and commitment to thoroughly investigating these cases and preparing them for presentation.

⚖️ All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
