STREET BALL IS OFF TO A GREAT START!

Day One of Street Ball was a huge success, and we couldn't be more excited about the energy, sportsmanship, and community spirit that filled the gym!

It was great seeing young people come together to compete, have fun, build friendships, and enjoy a positive environment. The excitement on the court made for an incredible opening day, and we're just getting started.

A big thank you to all of the players, parents, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the first day a success.
We can't wait to see everyone back today as the action continues! Bring your energy, bring your game, and get ready for another great day of basketball.

See you on the court!

Recognizing Courage in a Time of Crisis

During one of the most difficult moments our community has faced, Robert demonstrated extraordinary courage and selflessness by stepping in and attempting to help Clarinda Turpin after she had been shot.

In recognition of his heroic actions, Chief Larry Burns, Deputy Chief Tommy Curtis, and Deputy Chief Charlie Hill took time to personally thank and recognize Robert for his bravery. His willingness to act in the face of danger and render assistance during a critical moment reflects the very best of our community.

While we continue to keep the family and loved ones of Clarinda Turpin in our thoughts and prayers, we also pause to acknowledge Robert’s compassion, courage, and commitment to helping another person in need.

Chief Burns, Deputy Chief Curtis, and Deputy Chief Hill commend Robert for his selfless actions and thank him for demonstrating that heroism is not defined by a title or a uniform, but by the willingness to help others when it matters most.

Not all heroes wear badges. Some simply choose courage when others need it most.
