Please join us in congratulating Officer Jennifer Mata on her appointment as the newest member of the Victor Valley Union High School District Police Department.

At this evening’s Board of Trustees meeting, the Board approved Officer Mata’s appointment, and Chief Stowell had the honor of administering her Oath of Office. Officer Mata brings a passion for service, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting students, staff, and families throughout our district.

As we continue building our department and strengthening safe learning environments across VVUHSD, we are excited to welcome Officer Mata to our team and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our school community.

This morning, our team is hard at work preparing to host the FBI-LEEDA Supervisory Leadership Institute. As a first-time host, we are excited to partner with the FBI-LEEDA to bring high-quality leadership training to law enforcement professionals from across the region.

Investing in leadership development strengthens our profession, our agencies, and ultimately the communities we serve. We look forward to a great week of learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

This morning, members of the department joined district staff community partners and the Sheriff’s Department in participating in the 2nd Annual Run With the Law 5K/10K, hosted by the Hesperia Station of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Events like this bring together law enforcement, families, and community members in support of health, wellness, and positive relationships. We are grateful for the opportunity to represent our district, connect with our regional partners, and spend the morning alongside so many dedicated individuals committed to serving the High Desert.

Thank you to the Hesperia Station team for organizing another outstanding event. We look forward to seeing this tradition continue to grow.

Another incredible milestone in graduation season as students take the stage, families cheer them on, and years of hard work culminate in this unforgettable moment. We’re honored to be here alongside the Jackrabbit community, with members of Explorer Post 760 also in attendance supporting the celebration.

Tonight is made even more special as one of our own, Explorer Sanchez, reaches this milestone. Watching our student leaders grow both in the classroom and through service to their community is exactly what programs like Post 760 are all about.
