Trump repeatedly asserted he would negotiate an immediate end to the war in Ukraine within 24 hours of taking office. That was a lie.
Trump said his war with Iran would take 4 to 5 weeks. So far, it has dragged on for 200 days, costing $246 million per day. He has said the war is nearly over or wrapping up at least 32 times. That was a lie.
Trump knocked down the East Wing of the White House for a ballroom he said would cost $200 million, paid for with private funds. The latest estimates are $900 million, with taxpayers on the hook for at least $700 million. That was a lie.
Trump promised to drastically reduce the federal deficit and slash government spending to reduce the national debt. Instead, he has expanded the federal debt past the $40 trillion threshold. That was a lie.
All Trump does is lie, and he knows MAGA Republicans are gullible enough to keep buying it (no matter how many times he's screwed them over) because they're incapable of admitting they were wrong about him.
