🐝 Did you know honey is the 3rd most faked food in the world? 😱
Most honey on shelves is either cut with sugar syrups, overheated, or stripped of its natural nutrients.

At Almosta Bee Farm, you’ll never find fillers, heating, or shortcuts. Just pure, raw honey — straight from our hives to your table. 🍯✨

Taste the real difference!! 💛🐝

Goldenrod is a lifesaver for honeybees 🐝🌼
It blooms late in the season, giving bees the nectar and pollen they need to make winter honey and stay strong until spring. 🍯✨

It’s that time of year again when honeybees get mistaken for wasps. It’s only Wednesday, and I’ve already had four calls — and removed two wasp nests.

Here’s the difference:
🐝 Honeybees are fuzzy, gentle, and only sting once (and only if threatened).
🪰 Wasps are smooth, aggressive, and can sting multiple times without losing their stinger.

Bees are our pollinating friends — wasps, not so much. I recommend getting some wasp spray or calling an exterminator.

My six vibrant gardens are bursting with life—and the bees are loving it. 🐝 From the flowers to the veggies, these little pollinators are working their magic, keeping everything blooming and thriving. Watching them work in each raised bed is a reminder that beauty and balance begin with the bees.

SO many Bees! 🐝
In July, a healthy honeybee hive typically contains between 40,000 and 80,000 bees, depending on factors like the region, forage availability, and the strength of the queen.

On average, a single worker bee can visit 50 to 100 flowers per foraging trip.

A foraging bee may take 10 to 15 trips per day, depending on weather, distance, and flower availability.
That means one bee could pollinate 500 to 1,500 flowers per day.

Over its lifetime (which is usually 5–6 weeks during the busy summer months), a single bee may visit tens of thousands of flowers.

Not every flower visit results in effective pollination.

Bees also collect nectar and pollen while foraging, helping fertilize plants in the process.

Bee Bread is a nutrient-rich food made by bees, primarily from pollen, nectar, and bee saliva. It plays a crucial role in the hive’s ecosystem and nutrition, especially for larvae and young worker bees.

How Bee Bread is Made

When bees collect pollen from flowers, they mix it with a bit of nectar and their saliva, creating small pellets. These pellets are packed into honeycomb cells and then sealed with a drop of honey. Over time, the mixture undergoes lactic acid fermentation, which preserves the pollen and enhances its nutritional content—similar to how yogurt or sauerkraut is fermented.
