Romeo in the spotlight

When the producer Anthony from
FOX & FRIENDS reached out to me earlier this week, they shared how thrilled they were with the way Romeo showed up the last time they visited, agreed to disagree and did so without arguments three years ago, that’s exactly how it should be. We don’t have to agree on everything to respect one another, there’s absolutely no reason why we can’t have different opinions, Listen to one another and still get along and be friends.
Can you imagine if we all thought alike? I’m just saying what a boring world this would be, our differences are what makes us unique and respectful conversations are what helps bring us together and at the end of the day we all want what’s best for our community, we may have different ideas about how to get there, but we should never lose sight of the respect we owe one another. 
I hope to see you there! Let’s show this country what an awesome place Romeo is

One of the many reasons that is an ideal place to call home 🚲⛷️🎣❤️

🎣 Stony Creek Metropark sits on 4,461 acres of glacial moraine - rolling hills, hardwood forest, restored prairie, and wetlands.
And it feels like it belongs hours north of where it actually is.
The lake at the center was built by damming Stony Creek in the early 1960s, and the park opened in 1964.
What's here now: two sandy beaches, 14 miles of mountain biking single track, a 6-mile paved loop around the lake, disc golf, a nature center with live animal exhibits, kayak and paddleboard rentals, a campground, an 18-hole golf course, and a massive playground at Eastwood Beach. In winter, it flips to ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and tobogganing.
It's the kind of park where families come back every weekend for years and still haven't done everything.

🚧 27 MILE ROAD PAVEMENT PRESERVATION PROJECT 🚧

I am proud to report that the Macomb County Department of Roads has awarded another pavement preservation project to Washington Township!

Beginning Monday morning, October 5, work will begin on 27 Mile Road from Van D**e Road to Jewell Road. The project will include milling and overlay reconstruction of the roadway.

Project Details:
• 27 Mile Road — Van D**e Road to Jewell Road
• Expected start: Monday, October 5
• Approximately 30 days, weather permitting

Please plan ahead, allow extra time and consider alternate routes while this work is underway.

This project is also part of a major initiative I have been working on for the past six years — improving and repairing the roads throughout Washington Township.

Through cost-saving programs with the Macomb County Department of Roads, pavement preservation projects at no cost to the Township, and state and federal grants, we have been able to make tremendous progress on our road infrastructure.

Thank you to the Macomb County Department of Roads for continuing to invest in Washington Township and for partnering with us to improve our community’s infrastructure.

All border crossings in Michigan will briefly close Friday, Sept. 11, in commemoration of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Traffic will be cleared before 8:46 a.m. At that time, taps will be played as the flag is raised, followed by a moment of silence at all ports of entry. Motorists should expect closures of approximately 30 minutes or less.

Detroit-Windsor Tunnel
Ambassador Bridge

Plan accordingly and allow extra time if crossing the border Friday morning. Normal operations will resume immediately after the observance.
